Med-Eval was originated by a large medical group practice in the metropolitan Washington, DC area known as The Neurology Center and Washington Imaging Center.  In the early 1990’s, an insightful group of physicians and their marketing professionals recognized that workers’ compensation and other casualty insurers desired skillful neurologists to provide both treatment and independent medical exams.   They also found that the workers’ compensation insurers could be well served by offering attractive discounts on costly medical imaging procedures. 

The founders of Med-Eval quickly realized that their concept could be expanded to include all medical specialties.  Med-Eval sprang to life in 1994 and began contracting with physicians and diagnostic imaging centers throughout the area.  The company began as a provider of medical evaluative services and discounted diagnostic imaging studies serving the causality insurance industry in the Washington, DC area.   Success came immediately and Med-Eval’s operations grew rapidly throughout Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey.  Today, the company enjoys market presence throughout most of the Eastern United States.
