Med-Eval offers these services to the auto casualty market for both first and third party claims.
- Independent Medical Exams
The IME is a valuable claims management tool to establish causation, accurately assess permanency, identify return-to-work options, evaluate treatment, and/or bring about a settlement. You can rely on an independent medical opinion that clearly addresses the critical issues and is based upon objective medical findings.
- Peer Reviews
A medical record review provides a retrospective analysis of the medical treatment and associated charges. In addition to the peer review report, Med-Eval provides a recap of the charges recommended to be accepted and to be denied. A detailed break down of all charges and dates of service is also provided.
- Depositions
Med-Eval will arrange all aspects of a deposition for you.
- Physician Advisory
This is a great service for first-party auto claims. One of our medical directors contacts the treating physician to discuss an expected release from care and other treatment issues. It is a very non-adversarial technique to bring closure to a claim.
- Radiological Film Review
A board certified neuro-radiologist reviews MRI or CT films and provides a medical report on such issues as pre-existing conditions and degenerative changes that may help mitigate the cost of a claim.
- Review of EMG Raw Data
A neurologist who is board certified in neuro-diagnostics reviews the raw data of an EMG and provides a report on whether the raw data was interpreted accurately by the physician who performed the EMG.
